The seasoned actor may start a new project soon.
On Thursday, December 23, industry insiders shared that actor Ryu Joon Yeol is in talks to appear in the upcoming drama “Money Game,” to be helmed by director Han Jae Rim.
If the negotiations will yield favorable results, it will be a comeback project between the actor and the director, who last worked together at the set of the critically-acclaimed film “The King” in 2017.

“Money Game” will be an eight-episode TV adaptation of the original webtoon with the same title. It centers on the story about eight game participants who will try their luck to get a share of the ₩44.8 billion cash. But to earn the money, the participants must buy all the essential items using the money. After 100-days, the remaining balance from the total pot money will be equally shared by the participants. However, the prices of the goods cost way higher than the regular price.
If the negotiations turn out well, this will be Ryu Joon Yeol’s next small screen project after “Lost” in 2021.
The new drama is scheduled to film as soon as the cast lineup of the lead characters becomes complete.
