SBS Network’s show LOUD went into hot waters after the appearance of Japanese participant Tanaka Koki. The pre-teen was born on January 29, 2009, and was only twelve years when he appeared on SBS’ survival show on September 2021.
The other nine members picked by legendary Psy for his team were born in 2002-2005. Locals and international fans protested and created petitions, voicing out how Koki is still a child, and the training and debut of K-Pop idols are hard and traumatizing.
Due to these actions, Tanaka Koki decided to drop out of his group and the show. On their Twitter account, P Nation announced that Koki would not debut with his fellow show participants. Upon deliberation, he, his parents, and P Nation agreed that it’d be in his best interests to continue training before making his official debut.

They stated that Koki will be under P Nation, one of the kindest yet strictest labels in South Korea. The label homes veteran Sunmi, Jessi, and other powerhouses, so rest assured, Koki is in good hands.
