Boyband idol-turned-actor Jeong Jae-hyun, better known as NCT’s Jaehyun, is confirmed to star in his second acting project.
On Tuesday, November 2, industry insiders broke the news that Jaehyun will appear in the drama remake of the 2001 movie “Bungee Jumping of Their Own.” Shortly after the report came out, his management agency SM Entertainment confirmed the news that he will be a part of the cast of the OTT drama revival.
“Bungee Jumping of Their Own” was originally released as a movie in 2001. It featured the story of a high school teacher named Seo In Woo, portrayed by Lee Byung Hun. The main character struggled to deal with the passing of his girlfriend In Tae Hee, played by Lee Eun Joo. But his life changed when he met a male student named Im Hyun Bin, portrayed by actor Yeo Hyun Soo.
In the drama adaptation, Jaehyun will play the role of Im Hyun Bin. Other casting details have yet to be released.
The upcoming drama adaptation will most likely be Jaehyun’s first acting appearance that will be aired on the small screen, unless his first acting job, titled “Dear M” finally premieres on KBS2. The airing of the college-romance drama was supposed to premiere on February 26, 2021, but the network decided to postpone it indefinitely due to the bullying allegations against female lead Park Hye-su.
