South Korean variety show Knowing Bros, also known as Ask Us Anything and Men on a Mission, officially casts famous comedian Lee Jin Ho.
Soompi reports that JTBC cast Lee Jin Ho as a fixed member. He will start on the 304th episode of Knowing Bros on October 30, 7:40 p.m. KST.
From its pilot episode in 2016, “Knowing Bros” consisted of seven cast members. It is only after five years that the show creators made this change.
In the exclusive report, Producing Director Choi Jang Soo shared that the showrunners decided it was time to add “new blood.” They believe that Lee Jin Ho is up to the task as he already made appearances in the show and had natural chemistry with the cast. Aside from that, the comedian had years of experience in comedy programs, variety shows, and digital content, making him compatible with Knowing Bros’ high school setting.
PD Choi Jang Soo also said that Lee Jin Ho, the youngest classmate and team member, will bring fresh air to the show.
People anticipate the new addition as the age gap between Knowing Bros’ cast and their guests, particularly new-gen KPop idols, is increasing. Lee Jin Ho shows his capabilities in connecting with young idols, and one moment that stood special was his interactions with Golden Child in Idol Dictation.
