The actor lands his first historical drama role.
On Tuesday, December 8, HM Entertainment announced that actor Kim Min Ki will be part of KBS’ new historical drama “Taejon Yi Bang Won.”

According to the actor’s management agency, he will play the role of Daegun Chungnyeong, the favorite son of the main character of Joo Sang-wook’s character Lee Bang-won. He is a quiet but highly ambitious prince who wants to inherit the throne.
Other cast members include Kim Yeong Cheol, Park Jin Hee, Lee Kwang Ki, Ye Ji Won, Hong Kyung In, and others.
Before working on his first historical drama project, Kim Min Ki appeared in two dramas this year. He was part of the cast of the popular SBS drama “Racket Boys,” together with Oh Na Ra, Kim Sang Kyun, Tang Jun Sang, Choi Hyun Wook, Son Sang Yeon, and Kim Kang Hoon. He also starred in the web series titled “Adult Trainee.”
“Taejong Yi Bang Won” will premiere on KBS on Saturday, December 11, at 8:40 p.m. KST.
