TvN has officially confirmed that actresses Kim Go Eun, Nam Ji Hyun, and Park Ji Hoo will work together for a new TV series.
On Thursday, December 23, the casting of the three actresses for the new drama “Little Women” was finally confirmed. Previous reports only mentioned the participation of Kim Go Eun and Nam Ji Hyun in the cast, but the third woman was not revealed until now.
“Little Women” will tackle the story about three sisters with a tightly-knit relationship who grew up in poverty. They will encounter a major problem after having a confrontation with one of the wealthiest families in Korea.
Kim Go Eun will portray the role of Oh In Joo, the eldest in the family. She plans to protect her sisters with money. Because of their poor background, she always dreams of earning more money to live an abundant life like other families. However, her life turned upside down due to an incident.
Nam Ji Hyun will star as middle sister Oh In Kyung. She works as a news reporter who always does the right thing. When a baffling case that happened during her early days as a reporter reemerges and directly affected her, she began to dig for the truth to solve it.
Park Ji Hoo takes on the role of the youngest sister Oh In Hye. She grew up overwhelmed with the love and affection of her older sisters who do everything to give her a good life. Even if she has no access to real art supplies because of their finances, she manages to be accepted at an art high school because of her talents.
Other reports revealed in October that actor Wi Ha Joon is also in talks to be part of the cast. His agency confirmed that he is considering accepting the role of one of the male leads.
“Little Women” will be helmed by “Vincezo” and “The Crowned Clown” director Kim Hee Won and written by “Mother” scriptwriter Jung Seo Kyung.
The upcoming drama will be produced by Studio Dragon and air on tvN in 2022.
