Months after casting rumors emerged, it is officially confirmed that actors Seo In Guk and Oh Yeon Seo will star together in the new drama “Minamdang: Case Note.”
Adapted from a popular Kakao Page web novel with the same title, “Minamdang: Case Note” is a comedy thriller about the life of a former profiler named Nam Han Joon who turned into a baksumudang (male shaman). He met and worked with the team leader of the violent crimes division, Han Jae Hee. Seo In Guk is set to play the role of Nam Han Joon, while Oh Yeon Seo will take on the role of Han Jae Hee.
Seo In Guk is known for portraying a wide range of roles in his previous dramas, including “Reply 1997,” “Hello, Monster,” “Shopaholic Louis,” and “Doom at Your Service.” His role in the new drama requires him to transform into the handsome but fake baksumudang Nam Han Joon. He will use his expertise in profiling to deceive his clients and solve their problems with ease.
On the other hand, Oh Yeon Seo’s character is a righteous and sincere violent crimes division head. While she usually does not hold grudges, she could insult people when she believes that something is not right.
The upcoming drama will also star actor Kwak Si Yang. He will play the role of a naive barista named Gong Soo Cheol.
“Minamdang: Case Note” will be spearheaded by “Player” director Go Jae Hyun. The script is created by “Ruler: Master of the Mask” screenwriter Park Hye Jin. The upcoming series is scheduled to be filmed in the coming days and be released in the first half of 2022.
