Actress Kim Yoo Jung had one of the most memorable and meaningful birthday celebrations!

The “Love in the Moonlight” star marked her 22nd birth anniversary last September 22, and instead of getting gifts, Kim Yoo Jung chose to share her blessings with those who need them most.

According to ChildFund Korea, also called Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, the “Nation’s Little Sister” donated ₩30,000,000 KRW (about US$25,413) to the organization to celebrate her special occasion.

It is not the first time for the actress to share her blessings with the needy. In October 2020, the actress joined the elite list of Hallyu stars who belong to the Green Noblesse Club. It is a foundation for celebrities who donated large amounts to charities.

The Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation revealed that Kim Yoo Jung become the 229th member of the exclusive club after reaching a total of ₩100,000,000 KRW (US$88,870) in total donations. She became the youngest member of the club after meeting the requirement when she was only 21. Other members of the club include BTS’s J-Hope, TVXQ’s Changmin, and singer-dancer Chungha.

Kim Yoo Jung also made the news for donating to the medical bills of young patients or sharing her riches to children from low-income families dealing with the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Just recently, she donated a huge sum of money to young kids who became victims of various crimes to spend on their living and hospital expenses.

In a statement, ChildFund Korea president Lee Je Hoon expressed the organization’s gratitude for Kim Yoo Jung’s generosity. “During this difficult time in which COVID-19 has made it even harder for children who are victims of crime to sustain themselves, we are grateful to actress Kim Yoo Jung, who has warmheartedly participated in giving,” the organization president said.

Kim Yoo Jung currently stars in “Lovers of the Red Sky” alongside Ahn Hyo-seop.
