The 5th Raspberry Film Festival, famous as the Razzies of Korea, strikes again. This time, it comes after the film “The Box.” Sports Kyunghang created a panel of 22 Korean movie reporters who voted for EXO member Chanyeol as the number 1 for worst film actor in Korea 2021.
He garnered eight votes out of twenty-two, which makes up 36%. Despite his movie “The Box,” released in March 2021, making history, it didn’t escape movie critics.
In an article by the Manila Bulletin, it’s been reported that Chanyeol is the first Korean idol to have a movie debut in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Ukraine. The movie is also nominated for the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards.
Exol-s disapproved with the title now attached to the idol as the film had positive reviews from other countries. The general Korean public also had good reviews of it. Many didn’t see it as a warranted tag, and the public again challenges the importance of these kinds of award shows.
The Box is a film musical about a singer with glossophobia who can only sing when wearing a box. His life starts to change when he encounters a genius producer.
The movie has a score of 80 on Asian Wiki, 7.9 on IMDb, and 94% of Google users liked it.
