The Bangtan Boys once again earned three major nominations at the American Music Awards

BTS ARMY has more things to watch out for, including their favorite boy band’s nominations for the upcoming 2021 American Music Awards, announced Thursday, October 28.

The groundbreaking artists received three nominations for one of the leading music awards in the US, including the coveted Artist of the Year category. They will vie for the award against other hit music artists like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, and The Weeknd.

The group is also nominated for the Favorite Pop Duo or Group category for the third year, while their hit song “Butter” will compete against Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License,” Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” Ariana Grande and The Weeknd’s  “Save Your Tears (Remix),” and Doja Cat (feat. SZA)’s “Kiss Me More.”

Billboard explained that the nominations for the prestigious award-giving body were based on several factors, including key fan interactions like album sales, streaming, song sales, and radio airplay between September 25, 2020, until September 23, 2021.

The 2021 American Music Awards will take place on November 21 at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.
