2021 is a great year for BLACKPINK’s Thai singer and rapper.
Before the last day of the year, YG Entertainment announced Lisa’s solo single “Money” generated at least 300 million streams on Spotify, 112 days after its release. It is the shortest time for any K-pop solo artist to achieve that feat.
The hit single, which debuted at No. 93 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in November, came from her solo debut album, “Lalisa.” It also led the two songs chart of iTunes in 72 regions.
It is not the only achievement received by the single so far. In November, the “Money” performance video went beyond 300 million views on YouTube in just 66 days. It is also the shortest time a K-pop dance video earned the honors. She beat the record of her own group since BLACKPINK’s song “How You Like That” achieved that title after 76 days.
Aside from her musical recognitions, Lisa was also voted as the Most Beautiful Face of 2021in TC Candler’s annual “100 Most Beautiful Faces” list.
