Actress Lee Ha Nee is pregnant with her first child, her management agency Saram Entertainment confirmed Sunday, January 16.
The announcement comes almost a month after she and her non-celebrity husband tied the knot in Seoul on December 21, 2021.
“Lee has entered her fourth month of pregnancy and is expected to give birth around June,” the official statement from the agency read. “We hope you can send your warmest congratulations and blessings to the actress and her baby in the months to come.”
The first time parents met through a mutual acquaintance at the start of the previous year. According to reports, Lee Ha Nee’s husband is a Korean-American office worker.
Lee Ha Nee has crowned Miss Korea in 2006 and represented the country in Miss Universe the following year. She went on to will 3rd Runner Up in the prestigious international beauty contest. After her fruitful pageant career, she became a TV host and actress, starring in several popular dramas like “Pasta” (2010) and 2019’s “The Fiery Priest.” She also appeared in movies like “Extreme Job” in the same year.
Most recently, Lee Ha Nee’s fans saw her in the hit comedy-drama “One the Woman,” where she portrayed dual roles of a corrupt prosecutor Cho Yeon-Joo and wealthy but mistreated heiress Kang Mi-na. The role earned the Top Excellence Award for an Actress in a Miniseries, Romance/Comedy Drama in SBS Drama Awards in 2021.
